Music Alert: “Sonic Doesn’t Need a Story”

(Explicit Warning:  Uses “F***,” but not frequently)

Generally speaking, it’s hard for me to get into mainstream music.  Chances are that if I’m listening to something, it’s going to be comedy music, Sonic music, or a podcast.  However, it’s always something special when they intersect wonderfully.

So I offer a special thanks to GoNintendo for pointing me to this great mini-album, “117% Complete” by British singer Alex Day.  Though, not entirely a comedy album, he laments the ways game franchises have changed in “Sonic Doesn’t Need a Story,” “I Hate Mario Kart Wii,” and “Pokemon, What Happened To You?”

While not perfectly aligned with my opinions on the series, they’re still great, well-produced, well-written songs, and at the very least, worth the small purchase price.

You can pick up the album on iTunes, but I personally recommend Amazon, as they offer it in DRM-free MP3 format.  Or, there’s always the option to pick up the complete CD pack with a t-shirt and buttons.
