The Spindash is a weekly MP3 podcast of all things Sonic, Sega, video games, and a touch of randomness. Hosted by some Sonic nerds and an occasional guest thrown in for taste, we discuss Sonic games, news, comics, music, toons, and everything blue, rapid, and spiky. We typically put out new episodes on Wednesdays, and we try to run about an hour an episode (with quite a few exceptions).

We generally consider ourselves separate from the “major” Sonic fan community for better or for worse, and no matter what you enjoy about Sonic, we try to provide a little bit of everything for everyone.

Beyond our average episode “Acts,” we occasionally mix things up with a special, such as Blast Processing Players performances, Studio Spindash all-music episodes, and our Annual Spindash Awards for Excellence in the Field of Awesomeness.

One of our major goals is to bring in your voice. We constantly have opportunities for you to request music, participate in polls, ask questions, or simply respond to the show.

  We respond to E-mails, comments, and forum posts from the week.

• Blast Processing
  The Sega Genesis has Blast Processing; so do we. And just like the marketing ploy, we take some time to talk about something random, stupid, and off-topic.

  Our personal music choice. It may be Sonic-related, it may line up with our topic this week, or it just might something we think is just plain cool.

The founder and producer of The Spindash Podcast, GX is a well seasoned Sonic fan with a penchant for the ridiculous and adorable. Though there’s not much in the Sonic franchise he doesn’t enjoy to some extent, he always tries to keep a level head.

A Doctor Who, giant mech, and all-around sci-fi aficionado, Reef brings a quick wit and a vast library of pop culture quotes. His experience primarily consists of classic Sonic more so than modern, particularly the Genesis games and SatAM series.

Though she may be a Sonic neophyte, Saber is fairly knowledgeable in many other fronts. Anime, games, books, psychology; she dabbles in them all, and is able to relate whatever she knows to the discussion.

The occasional “whenever she feels like it” guest, Yuki is the silent commentator. She prefers to stay in the background, making sly remarks and laughing. She’s not the most loyal Sonic fan, but she tries to keep up on the comic series and play a few rounds of Sonic Adventure 2 Battle.
