The Spindash got through Act 54
It’s hard for me to add anything post-podcast about Generations, as I am totally full-force excitement on Zelda at the moment. I’m still frustrated that it isn’t Sunday yet. Why am I not playing that game right this second? SERIOUSLY, WHY?!?
Avid listeners of the show know I love discussing a good rumor, yet this whole “Sonic Dimensions” thing just hasn’t lit my fire. Perhaps its the origin of the rumor, but it’s most likely that we are at a point where there are too many Sonic games coming out in too short a time span. Seriously consider this: there are five Sonic games coming out in what is roughly a three month time period while the rest of the industry is busy releasing a unstoppable torrent of blockbusters. By now, Sonic Generations HD is out, as is Mario & Sonic London; Generations 3DS releases within days, and M&S London 3DS is set for February. Heck, we’ve even got the Tails-infused port of Sonic CD expected within a month!
Poor scheduling aside, I will warn you that we won’t be covering Mario & Sonic London for a while. Among all the huge releases this quarter, I’ve only been able to set aside the funds for three: Generations HD, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (only because I could cut the price in half by trading in the first version), and Skyward Sword. If I’m lucky enough to have my local Redbox carry it, then I’ll try to do a rental, but I’m not making any promises.
Otherwise, have a great Thanksgiving, don’t forget to catch Sonic in this year’s Macy’s Parade, and look forward to hearing from us again when we’re waste deep in leftovers!
